CONDUCTOR

Richard Nott is a choral conductor, having worked with many amateur choirs and choral societies in east London and Essex with his work as Director of Music at St Bede’s Roman Catholic Church in Chadwell Heath.

His wealth of experience with Catholic liturgy ranges from plainsong and Renaissance choral music to modern worship and special commissions for important church events. Richard is also very comfortable rehearsing choirs from churches of other denominations as well as non-church choirs.

Richard’s style is very much a relaxed one, making rehearsals fun and engaging, providing a comfortable learning environment for amateur singers. Richard is also experienced in 'depping' for Choir Leaders when they are unable to take a rehearsal but want the practise to go ahead. If you are interested in talking to Richard about 'depping', please make contact with him.

News

Hello everyone, and welcome to my latest update.

Happy Easter! I hope you were able to have a rest over Easter before jumping back on the treadmill. I was busy playing during Holy Week and Easter Sunday. Last week was pretty quiet, but things have picked up this week, and the diary is filling up.

I'm off out for lunch with my daughter Isabel today. She didn't break up from uni until Maundy Thursday, so she's enjoying her time off this side of Easter. I can guarantee she'll be cuddling her cats!

I've done a bit of maintenance on the yellow Mercedes, and she's going in next month to have the bodywork and rust sorted. I'll include a couple of pictures on the 'guestbook' page. One is of the Merc with my old Morris Minor, who now lives with friends in a heated garage and on wilton carpet...that's the car, not my friends! Lottie (from her numberplate) is very well looked after. The other picture is a selfie with the Merc having returned from playing for a funeral.

I don't seem to have an awful lot of news. Life just continues to be busy, for which I am thankful, and everyone in Richard World is well, for which I am also thankful. Mum is having her first cateract operation next month, and is looking forward to getting improved vision. At my recent eye test I was told I have the start of cateracts. Great. Don't you just love getting older?!

Best wishes,

Richard
